Videos from yesterday’s Sheikh Jarrah protest

Israel’s upload speeds are awful, awful slow. There are three of ten I took from “kabbalat shabbat” protesting in Sheikh Jarrah yesterday, more coming. Videos taken on Jewschool’s flipcam.

The protest begins:

An interview with an Israeli activist born in Jerusalem about why he protests here on behalf of democracy:

The evicted family is confronted by police. I’m so sorry this video is shot too low, because the face of the female policewoman was incredible as the family’s mother stands before her. The policewoman began to cry, then turned and left the police line. So indicative of the absurdity of the situation.

I am visiting in East Jerusalem and found the reference to the Sheikh Jarrah protests in Nicholas Kristof’s NY Times article. What day and what time does the demonstration start? I would like to participate.
    Peace, ssalami, shalom
